Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success"

Greetings!

Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!  The Lincoln Elementary staff is SUPER excited about the start of the new school year.  Last year, Lincoln Staff fully implemented Response to Intervention (RtI) in all grades to meet individual student weaknesses or strengths. This year, Lincoln Staff will continue to focus on ensuring that every child at Lincoln has a solid learning foundation to ensure successful school experiences for years to come through the teaching of the new Ohio Learning Standards.  Lincoln Elementary continues to show school pride by wearing PURPLE and GOLD on Fridays, which mean random visits by school mascot - SURE WIN!  Lastly, Lincoln has a NEW slogan:

Where we LEad and LEarn together!

The slogan says it all!  It is going to be a great year for the students at Lincoln Elementary!

Lincoln Elementary School is located in Bryan, Ohio, and serves approximately 310 students in Grades 2-3.  A staff of twenty-five teachers, along with a wide variety of support personnel is eager to help each child meet their cognitive, physical, emotional and social needs.

We believe each child is a unique individual with unique skills, talents, hopes, and dreams.  We strive to provide a “safe” environment that will encourage each child to develop their full learning potential and gain the skills that are necessary for them to function effectively in society.

In order for children to reach their full potential, my staff and I believe that we must create a partnership with parents and community members.  Research shows that when parents are involved in their child’s education, children have higher grades and standardized test scores, improved behavior at home and school, and better social skills and adaptation to school and society.

Be our Partner!

By working together, we both can play an important role in your child’s development and achievement.  Getting involved at school by volunteering -- or even fully supporting your child at home -- is anything but straightforward or easy.  However, we want to support you as parents for a TEAM approach that raises the EXPECTATIONS of your child cognitively, physically, emotionally, and socially.

A very involved and active Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) meets monthly to plan special activities and experiences for the students.  Many volunteers can be seen regularly lending a hand to students and teachers as they strive to meet the educational goals of students.

The staff at Lincoln Elementary School is proud to be at the foundation of the educational journey in the Bryan City Schools.  If we can be of any assistance, please contact the school office at 419.636.6931 or e-mail Scott Huard at shuard@bryanschools.net.
