Safe Schools/Healthy Students in Williams County is providing Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainings for school staff and community members in our region. The remaining training dates are January 25, April 26 and June 13. The trainings are appropriate for ANYONE (administrators, teachers, counselors, office staff, paraprofessionals, college students, community members and so on) working with youth age 12-18.
This is a rather intensive training and can be a long day, but there has been tremendous feedback from people who felt they have used what they learned to help youth they know, both in professional and personal contexts. To help break up the day, a great box lunch will be served at no charge (catered by AKA from Wauseon). Each date is limited to 30 participants, so early registration is recommended.
Registration is through NwOESC at the link below. If you do not have a professional development account through NwOESC you will be prompted to set up that account. Follow the prompts. It is pretty easy to navigate. If you have any questions, please contact Ron Rittichier, Safe Schools/Healthy Students Project Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
