Q: What is the date for graduation this year? I didn't see it on the school calendar?
A: Graduation is scheduled for June 10 at 2 pm.

Q: I saw that you have revised the 2018-2019 calendar. I was wondering what the revision was because I can't find the difference between the first calendar and the revision.
A: BCS apologizes for the confusion that this news post has generated. There were two corrections made to the 2018-2019 school calendar:
1. The words "No School" were added after Good Friday to clarify that day is a day off of school.
2. A spelling correction was made.
No dates were changed on the calendar from the original post.

Q: Transportation was provided in the past to the YMCA, but now it includes a fee for the YMCA to have transportation. Why is there now a fee charged to the YMCA?

A: Schools in the state of Ohio receive no funding for any student living or needing transportation within  one (1) mile from the school.  The YMCA is located within that one (1) mile.  Therefore, the school does not receive any state funding to support this specific transportation route.

The YMCA and the school district have reached an agreement to be able to provide transportation to and from the Y location for the remainder of this school year, and, hopefully, ongoing in the future.  The fee being charged to the YMCA is to reimburse the cost of the driver and transportation expenses.  The school is not profiting from this agreement.

Q: If church and state do not mix..why are there high school teachers recruiting for church awakenings and never asked the parent????
A:  You are correct that church and state are to remain separate.  However, as long as these conversations are happening outside of the school day and/or team practices, teachers and coaches are allowed to discuss these topics with students. If these conversations are happening during the school day and/or at team practices, please call the Superintendent's office to discuss.
Q: Just wondering if you will have a week where parents and grandparents can come in and have lunch with their child/grandchild?
A: Parents and grandparents are welcome to come into the school and have lunch with their student at any point in the school year.  BCS asks that you call at least a day in advance and let the cafeteria know who will be visiting and what grade level.
