2017-18 Junior High Track

The Bryan Jr. High track team concluded its’ season on Saturday at the Jr. High NWOAL Championships. 
Liberty Center captured the girls’ team title, with Bryan finishing in 6th place overall. On the boys side, Swanton won the team championship, with Bryan placing 6th.  
Capturing individual event league championships for the Bears were Kaitlynn Posey in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.98 seconds, Madison Hall in the 200 hurdles with a time of 32.27 seconds, and Camden Miller in the 110 hurdles with a time of 18.25 seconds. Other top performers for Bryan were Haylee Wheeler placing 2nd in the long jump, Parker Rosebrook placed 2nd in the 1600, Joshuah Taylor placed 3rd in the 1600, Camden Miller placed 2nd in the 200 hurdles, and the 4x200 relay team of Makenna Lane, Madison Hall, Kaitlynn Posey, and Haylee Wheeler placed 2nd.

The Bryan Jr. High track team wrapped up its’ regular season on Tuesday at Edgerton in a tri-meet with the Bulldogs and Ayersville
The Lady Bears placed first in the team scoring ahead of Ayersville and Edgerton, while the boys finished second, 3 points behind Edgerton.
Event winners  for the Lady Bears were Delilah Taylor placing 1st in the long jump and the 400, Kaitlyn Posey in the 100 hurdles, Allie Zimmerman in the 1600, Addie Oberlin in the 800, Maddie Hall in the 200 hurdles, and Haylee Wheeler in the 200.
Event winners for the Bryan boys were Camden Miller in the 110 hurdles, Braiden Showalter in the 1600, Josh Taylor in the 800, and the 4x100 relay of Korbin Shepherd, Jaylin Damron, AJ Martinez, and Miller.
The Bears conclude their season at the NWOAL Jr. High Championships at Patrick Henry on Saturday.  

The Bryan Jr. High track team competed in the Napoleon Middle School Track Invite on Saturday.
Napoleon captured the boys’ and girls’ team titles, while the Bryan boys brought home the 2nd place trophy and the Bryan girls finished with a strong 4th place performance.     
Leading the way for the Bryan boys were Camden Miller placing 1st in the 110 hurdles, Tannere Craig placed 2nd in the shot, Lucas Will placed 3rd in the 200 hurdles and 3rd in the pole vault, Parker Rosebrook placed 3rd in the 1600, the 4x400 relay of Will, Kellen Rigg, Logan Sobzcak, and Rosebrook placed 2nd, and the 4x200 relay of Jaylin Damron, Korbin Shepherd, Rigg, and Miller placed 3rd.  Kaitlyn Posey and Allie Zimmerman paced the Lady Bears.  Posey finished 1st in the 100 hurdles and 2nd in the 100 dash.  Zimmerman won the 1600 and placed 3rd in the 800.  Other top finishers were Haylee Wheeler placing 3rd in the 200, Maddie Hall placing 3rd in the 200 hurdles, Brooke Taylor placing 3rd in the long jump, and the 4x400 relay of Makenna Lane, Brooke Taylor, Delilah Taylor and Zimmerman finished 3rd.
The Jr. High Bears travel to Edgerton Tuesday to compete in a dual meet with the Bulldogs.  

The Bryan Jr. High track team traveled to Archbold Thursday night for a quad meet with the Blue Streaks,  and Ottawa Glandorf.     
The Lady Bears fell just short of the team victory, trailing Archbold by a score of 72 to 69. Event winners for the Lady Bears were Kaitlyn Posey in the 100 hurdles and 100, Haylee Wheeler in the 200, Delilah Taylor in the 400, and the 4x200 relay of Makenna Lane, Maddie Hall, Kaitlynn Posey, and Haylee Wheeler. Other top finishers were Allie Zimmerman placing 2nd in the 800 and 1600, Addie Oberlin was 3rd in the 800, 1600, and long jump, Maddie Hall was 2nd in the 200 hurdles and 3rd in the 100, Lily Hulbert was 3rd in the high jump, Litzy Palos was 3rd in the disc, and the 4x400 relay of Makenna Lane, Brooke Taylor, Delilah Taylor, and Allie Zimmerman placed 2nd.
The Bryan boys finished third in the team scoring behind Glandorf and Archbold.  Leading the way for the Bryan boys were Josh Taylor finishing 1st in the 800 and 2nd in the 1600, Parker Rosebrook won the 1600, Tannere Craig was 2nd in the 200 and 3rd in the shot, Lucas Will placed 2nd in the 200 hurdles, Braiden Showalter was 3rd in the 1600, and Camden Miller was 3rd in the 110 hurdles. The 4x200 relay of Jaylin Damron, Korbin Shepherd, Kellen Rigg, and Miller, and the 4x400 relay of Logan Sobzcak, Rigg, Will, and Rosebrook placed 1st.    
The Jr. High Bears travel to Napoleon Saturday to compete in the Napoleon Invitational.

The Bryan Jr. High track team hosted Tinora, St. Paul, and St. Pat’s in a quad meet Monday night.
The Bryan girls and boys both came out on top in the team scoring, followed by Tinora.   
Event winners for the Lady Bears were Allie Zimmerman in 800 and 1600, Haylee Wheeler in the 200, Lily Hulbert in the high jump, and Maddie Hall in the pole vault. The Lady Bears swept the relays, winning the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400. Other top finishers were Addie Oberlin taking 2nd in the 800 and 1600, Kaitlyn Posey was 2nd in the 100 hurdles and 3rd in the 100, Delilah Taylor was 3rd in the 800, Litzy Palos was 3rd in the disc, and Hulbert was 3rd in the 100 hurdles.
Event winners for the Bryan boys were Lucas Will in the pole vault and 200 hurdles, Craig Jackson in the 110 hurdles, Tannere Craig in the shot, Josh Taylor in the 800, and AJ Martinez in the high jump. The Bryan boys also claimed first place finishes in all the relays. Other top finishers were Jaylin Damron placing 2nd in the 200 and the high jump, Logan Heller 2nd in the 110 hurdles, Josh Taylor 2nd in the 1600, Parker Rosebrook 3rd in the 1600, Braiden Showalter 3rd in the 200 hurdles, Logan Sobzcak 3rd in the 400, and Camden Miller 3rd in the long jump.
Andrew Cogswell of St. Pat's won the 100 and the long jump and Preston Pierce won the disc.

The Bryan Jr. High track team hosted Evergreen and Delta in a tri-meet Thursday night.  The meet was cut short due to weather.  For the girls, through 11 events Evergreen was in 1st with 54 points, Bryan in 2nd with 43.5, and Delta in 3rd with 17.5. Through 10 events, the Evergreen boys were leading with 43.5, Delta was in 2nd with 39.5, and Bryan was in 3rd with 21.   Leading the way for the Lady Bears were Kaitlyn Posey with a 1st place finish in the 100 hurdles, Allie Zimmerman winning the 1600, Jamie Lynn Davis finishing 1st in the shot, and the 4x200 relay team of Makenna Lane, Maddie Hall, Haylee Wheeler, and Kaitlyn Posey also won. Other top finishers were Addie Oberlin placing 2nd in the 1600, Lexi Alspaugh was 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot, Litzy Palos was 2nd in shot and 3rd in the discus, Lily Hulbert was 3rd in high jump, Haylee Wheeler was 3rd in long jump, Maddie Hall was 3rd in the 100, and Emma Woolace was 3rd in the 400.
Top finishers for the Bryan boys were Josh Taylor winning the 1600, Lucas Will placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles and 200 hurdles, Parker Rosebrook placed 2nd in the 1600, and Braiden Showalter placed 3rd in the 1600.
The Bears hit the track again on Monday at home against Tinora, St. Paul’s, and St. Pat’s.

The Bryan Jr. High track team hosted Liberty Center and Swanton in a tri-meet Tuesday night. 
Liberty Center came out on top in both the boys and girls scoring. Swanton placed second and  the Golden Bears finished in 3rd place.

Top finishers for the Lady Bears were Kaitlyn Posey with victories in the 100 and 100 hurdles, Allie Zimmerman finished 1st in the 800 and 2nd in the 1600, Haylee Wheeler won the long jump, Brooke Taylor was 3rd in the long jump, and Lily Hulbert placed 3rd in the high jump.

Top finishers for the Bryan boys were Logan Heller placing 1st in the disc and 2nd in the 200 hurdles, Parker Rosebrook won the 1600 and placed 3rd in the shot, Lucas Will finished 2nd in the pole vault and 3rd in the 110 hurdles, Zain Laurin was 3rd in the disc, and the 4x400 relay of Kellen Rigg, Lucas Will, Parker Rosebrook, and Logan Sobczak finished 1st.

The Bears are back in action next week at home against Evergreen and Delta.

The Bryan Jr. High track team opened its’ season on Saturday at the Wauseon Tomahawk Invitational. 

The Golden Bears finished in 6th place in both the boys’ and girls’ team scoring.

Top finishers for the Lady Bears were Allie Zimmerman with 2nd place finishes in the 1600 and 800, Kaitlynn Posey finished 3rd in the 100 hurdles, Delilah Taylor was 4th in the 800, and Brooke Wheeler was 4th in the long jump.

Top finishers for the Bryan boys were Lucas Will placing 2nd in the 200 hurdles, the 4x400 relay of Kellen Rigg, Lucas Will, Logan Sobczak, and Josh Taylor finished 2nd, Josh Taylor was 3rd in the 1600, and Tannere Craig was 4th in the shot.

The Bears are back in action on Tuesday at home against Swanton and Liberty Center.
