2018-19 Wrestling

Sectionals

The Bryan wrestling team competed at the sectional wrestling tournament this weekend. The entire team wrestled well. Dylan McCandless placed 2nd and will move on to the district wrestling tournament in Norwalk on March 1st and 2nd. Carter Hoffman placed 6th. The improvement has been remarkable over the season and I am very proud of each of my boys.

Dylan McCandless was 2nd in the League Tournament.

Bryan Wrestling Fall to St. John's

Bryan Wrestlers headed to St. John's Jesuit on Saturday. The Bears fell 63-6.

Wrestlers compete at Joe Szymcak Royal Duals

The team wrestled well today. The young guys are showing major improvement. They are recognizing positions and moves while during their matches. Veteran guys continue to work to reach their peak form in advance of tournament time.

Wrestling Split With Swanton and Patrick Henry

Swanton beat Bryan 72-12

Bryan over Patrick Henry 36-14

Getting wins for the Bears were Aiden Fenter, Carter Hoffman, and Eion Moor.

Wrestling Falls to Delta and Evergreen

We have to continue to improve and trust in the process. I’ve seen lots of improvement in the young guys. The veterans need to continue to push in practice and work on improving technique.

Wrestlers go 3-2 at Edgerton Invitational

The wrestlers went 3-2 on the weekend and showed great improvement. Eion Moor continued his undefeated record by going 5-0 on the weekend. Also going unbeaten was freshman Scott Sanders. I am very pleased with the progress we are making and feel we are right on track. We will take the mat Thursday evening at Evergreen, with Liberty Center and Archbold joining us.
